Silver Scottish twenty pence piece of Charles I late type IV or type V (Falconers issue) with the bust wholly in the inner circle dating to 1637-42.The obverse has the bust of the king facing left and the legend CAR D G SCOT ANG FR E HIB R.The reverse is illegible.

Notes:
The coin has been pierce from obverse to reverse, on the back of the kings head. Post-Medieval silver pierced coins are relatively common finds and are known from coin hoards, they thus do not appear to have been removed from circulation and are not considered treasure under the terms of the Treasure Act 1996.
