A lead spindle whorl of Walton-Rogers form C dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1600. It is bi-convex with a median band, and one face is more shallowly curved than the other. The faces do not appear to be decorated, but are very worn. The internal aperture is circular and is 7.7mm in diameter. The whorl is 25.2mm diameter, 11.2mm thick, 37.0g.
