A copper alloy late medieval to post medieval dagger pommel, possibly from a roundel dagger, dating from c.1500-1700 AD. The pommel has a starburst design, with eight rounded projections radiating out from the central attachment hole. In between each projection are a pair of raised ridges. The centre is recessed in a hexagonal shape, with a square perforation for the tang of the dagger. The pommel measures 41.1mm in diameter, 14.2mm in thickness, and weighs 93g.
A similar pommel can be seen in record NMS-390B47.
