A Roman ceramic body sherd from an Nene valley colour-coated ware vessel of uncertain form, dating to c. AD 150-400. A very fined walled vessel of a biege-yellow fabric with few visible inclusions in the hand, both surfaces are coated with a dark red-brown slip and the external face is decorated with rouletted decoration. This consists of a repeated zig-zag pattern underneath three plain bands. Weight: 2.68g.
