An incomplete post Medieval strap fitting or mount possibly dating to c. 16th - 17th century AD or later. It has a moulded lozenge shaped plate with fleur-de-lis shaped terminals at each end. The lozenge is convex and outlined by a single line groove which joins with the fleur-de-lis design at both ends. The back face is mostly flat but hollow in the centre where the lozenge is concave. It is undecorated, and has a complete lug at one end and the remains of another lug at the other end. The surviving lug is rectangular in plan and bent inwards at a 90 degrees angle from the back of the plate. It is rectangular in cross-section with a rounded tip.
