Flint probable arrowhead. A sub-triangular flake with broad and narrow flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb at one end of a wavy ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect follows one of the convergent long edges. The finder kindly suggests a possible identification as a transverse or oblique arrowhead, a later Neolithic object type. The forming of sharp edges indeed appears deliberate, and the object is appropriately lightweight. However, its wavy profile might have impeded flight were this to be mounted on a shaft. Suggested date: Late Neolithic, 2700-2350 BC,
Length: 25.0mm, Width: 20.4mm, Thickness (at bulb): 3.1mm, Weight: 1.41gms.
