An incomplete copper alloy stirrup dating from 14th or 15th century. Only the top and part of one side survives. It has a trapezoid cover plate at the top which has two parallel lines at the base and one at the top which is crenelated. Behind the cover plate is the suspension bar which is bevelled at the base. The rectangular slot which the cover plate and suspension bar surround measures 30.22mm long at the base and 26.75mm at the top. the width of the slot is 7.79mm. The depth of the suspension bar is 9.71mm. The base of the cover plate measures 42.85mm and the top measures 32.18mm. The cover plate is 31.58mm high. The fragmentary side is sub D shaped and extends to 17.17mm below the cover plate. The other side is broken at the cover plate.
