Coin of Edward's 'transitional pyramids' are very rare with just 14 listed by Stewart and Blunt 1978 (in British Numismatic Journal 48), and few finds since. This coin may be the first known of this type produced by the moneyer Garwulf who is known from other coins of Edward at the Worcester mint.
