A complete circular Medieval to Post Medieval uniface cast lead token of Powell Type 7. The token is decorated with a cross hatch design . Lead tokens can be attributed to dates from the Medieval to Post Medieval period (1250 - 1850AD).Tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture; they are therefore difficult to date precisely outside of archaeological contexts.
The token measures 19.04 mm in diameter and is 2.47 mm thick and it weighs 3.99 grams. Condition is good with some surface corrosion and it is distorted.
