A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c.1700).

This mount is moulded at the front and is sub-lozenge shaped in plan. The front has a raised flower head design of eight petals with a central pellet. The rear face is slightly concave and has an integral spike at each end. These are circular in cross-section.

The mount is drab green with traces of a white metal coating at the front.

Length: 24.8mm; width: 19.0mm; thickness: 3.9mm; thickness including spikes: 6.8mm. Weight: 5.17g.
