Pottery. A pale buff-salmon fabric, an earlier Coal Measures Ware. Orange staining may derive from the burial environment as it appears on both sides and on fracture surfaces as well. Abraded. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Suggested date: Medieval, 1100-1300.
