Copper alloy hooked tag fragment. A trefoil plate with three separately made hollow hemispheres attached to its front, each comprising three linked and finely cabled rings; Read early post-medieval Class D Type 6. It is uncertain whether some additional thin fabric backed the rings, as it seems present in some places and absent in others. A fixing pin of diameter 1.5mm protrudes from the back plate near the middle of each hemisphere, though its exact relationship to their attachment is uncertain. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600.
