An incomplete cast coppper-alloy lozengiform type brooch dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. It is lozenge-shaped in plan view and plano-convex in section, with a flattened underside and decorated upper surface. One corner of the frame demonstrates a constriction where the separate wound-wire pin would have been attached, while the opposing corners each demonstrate a prominent sub-triangular knop flanked by two transverse collars. The sections of the frame between each corner are additionally swelled. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it measures 16.01mm long by 17.64mm wide, and 2.80mm thick at the midpoint of the frame. It weighs 2.01g. A similar brooch on the PAS database has been recorded as LEIC-0F98B2.
