A Post Medieval silver half groat of Elizabeth I. Dated to 1582-1583, mm Bell. Fifth issue. Obverse: Crowned bust left with two pellets behind. Obverse inscription: E.D.G. ROSA .SINE. SPINA. Reverse: Long cross fourcheé over Royal shield dividing legend. Reverse inscription: CIVITAS LONDON. The flan has been slightly clipped.
