A cast copper alloy early medieval strap end (AD c. 750 - c. 1100). The object is worn and corroded so that no surface decoration can be discerned. It has a split attachment end with two rivets in situ. The tongue has a sinuous outline similar to Thomas Class F (cf. Thomas 2003, fig. 5, no 34), but narrower and closer in overall shape to Thomas Class B (cf. Thomas 2003, fig. 2). The terminal is thickened and was probably zoomorphic.
