A fragment of a ceramic vessel of medieval date, c.AD 1100 - 1500. The fabric has a pale grey core darkening to the surfaces. It has a sandy texture with quartx inclusions. Two rows of incised circumferential lines, presumably mad by impressing a thumb nail into the soft clay, enclose a row of incised crescents.

The fragment is 45.9mm long, 37.5mm wide, 7.8mm thick and weighs 13.9g.
