A complete medieval cast copper-alloy horse harness pendant, dating to the period AD 1200-1500. The pendant design is in the form of a fleur de lys, hanging downwards from a wide tab which ends in an oval suspension loop offset at a ninety degree angle. There is a central circular perforation in the fleur de lys which is 4.19mm in diameter. The lower lobe or petal is V shape in section, hollow backed, the other lobes are C shape. It is 33.53mm in length, 18.72mm in width and weighs 1.45g.
