Medieval bar mount from harness, worn, corroded and bent, D-sectioned bar with opposed cusped mouldings before perforated terminal with elongated projecting lobe, the other end with opposed cusped mouldings before a perforated boss and a further length of D-sectioned bar ending in a worn and broken expanded double-pronged fork, or possibly the remaining sides of an openwork rectangular loop or terminal. Both rivet-holes contain much iron corrosion. Extant length (unbent) 77.5mm. Width 10mm. 13th-14th century.
