An incomplete copper alloy double looped buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. The object has an oval frame which is D-shaped in cross-section. At each end of the strap bar is a decorative knop. A lump of iron corrosion remains attached to the strap bar. This suggests that the missing pin may have been iron. The outer frame is decorated with worn ridges and traces of black lacquer can be seen.
