A complete copper alloy crotal bell dating to the period 1750-1850. The bell is complete and contains a small ball and there is no foundry mark. The bell is spherical with a sub rectangular hanging loop at the top. In the top half of the sphere, a circular hole has been cut on either side of the loop. Around the circumference, there is a raised ridge and the bell is decorated with traces of a sunburst finish. The lower half of the bell has a long straight gap ending in a circular hole at each end. There is a green-brown patina on the surface.The length is 47mm, the width is 37mm and the weight 25.76g.
