A copper-alloy thimble of closed construction, dating from the early post-medieval period (c. 1500 - 1700). The crown is shallowly domed and the walls below flare to the open end. A spiral of drilled sub-square pits (probably) start at the centre of the crown and continue around the walls to the base; corrosion product obscures on the crown. The walls of the thimble are thin (1 mm thick). The length is 17mm, the width is 13mm and the weight 1.33g.
