A complete cast copper-alloy annular type brooch dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. The brooch is broadly hexagonal in plan, with a constriction at one edge for the pin (which survives intact). Each side of the frame is incurved, with a swelling at its midpoint and pointed corners, the former co-incident with a prominent collet (a total of six) four of which still contain their original white setting. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven greenish patina, it measures 29.74mm in diameter,, c. 5.3mm thick where the collets extend from the frame, and weighs 6.97g.
