Pottery. Two sherds of Coal Measures Ware, a pale grey fabric with abundant dark grey inclusions to length 2.5mm; body sherds. The smaller sherd bears a faint trace of external glaze. Fiercely abraded. These sherds were kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500.
