A cast copper-alloy, hooked fitting for a post-medieval spur. It consists of a loop where it would have connected to the terminal of the spur arm, continuing into a flat bar, widening and terminating in a dome-headed stud with a narrow neck that would have fitted into a hole in the strap of the spur. There is extensive iron corrosion staining suggesting it was attached to an iron spur. An iron example with part of the spur and a hook can be seen on PUBLIC-55D0B2.
