An incomplete lead and copper alloy steelyard weight of possible Roman date. It is a slightly flattened spherical shape with the corroded remains of a copper alloy loop protruding from either end.
Although steelyard weights were in use from the Roman to post-medieval periods, examples with a central rod extending from both ends tend to be of Roman date.
