A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy dress-hook (1500-1600). Read Class E, Type 3.

The front is moulded and the rear face is flat. It has an openwork body pierced with seven circular perforations, three on one side and four on the other. These perforations enclose hatched decoration with a 'V'-shaped base. Between the body and hook there is a small transverse ridge. The hook curves rearwards and is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.

This dress-hook is reddish green and corroded with drab green corrosion products.

Length: 36.0mm; width: 16.8mm; thickness: 1.8mm; thickness including hook: 7.6mm. Weight: 2.73g.
