Copper alloy mount with leather adhering. Cast heart-shaped mount with a pair of pointed triangular prongs of length c.10mm projecting from the back, both pointing inwards and towards each other. The fixing pins retain a scrap of leather of thickness 3.5mm. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1700.
