A cast copper-alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle frame with ovoid knops on the outer edge of the frame; a quatrefoil, wide end with large lobed knops on the end of winged extensions. The strap bar is flush with the frame but has been narrowed at the centre to a thickness of 1 mm by the wear from the pin which is now missing. Dimensions: length of 35.5 mm, width of 46.5 mm thickness of 2.5 mm and weight of 10.35gm.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a very similar buckle on page 84, no.527, which is dated from 1620-1680.
