An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy seal matrix dating from AD1600-1700. The seal matrix has a trefoil openwork handle, with an additional central hole. The top of the handle is broken at the apex which is now missing. The die is oval in form and has a standing bird with outstretched wings. The bird is standing on a crescent, holding an olive branch in its beak, all within an oval beaded border.

Dimensions: length of seal matrix: 25.92mm; length of die: 15.14mm; width of die: 12.89mm; weight: 4.71g.
