A clipped Medieval silver halfgroat of Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470). Coin is very crude, with misplaced and poorly executed lettering. The minmark is uncertain but may be a poorly executed crown.. Prototype is a halfgroat of Edward IV's first reign 'Light Coinage' (1464/5-1470) minted London between 1464-1466, halfgroat class vii, North 1584. The coin is clipped aound its circumference.

Measurements: 18.38mm in diameter, 0.64mm thick and 1g in weight.
