A copper alloy strap end with a large separately applied dome-headed rivet. The strap end comprises two rectangular sheet metal plates, both with the distal ends angled inwards and joined at the end by a large, projecting circular cross sectioned rivet. The rivet has a flared domed head.It is probable that this rivet was ussed to attach the strap to another element. There are traces of a white metal coating on the surface of the plates.
