Date: 1673
Dimensions:
Thickness: 1.09 mm
Weight: 2.6 grams
Diameter: 19.48 mm
Discussion: Judy Rudoe, Curator at The British Museum has commented that "When you have just the last two figures of the date, as here, '76', it means it's AD 1676".
Conclusion and dating:
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal, it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. This example is very similar to 2009 T92 which was declared Treasure but returned to finder as no museum was able to acquire it.
