A near complete flint borer likely Neolithic-Early Bronze age date (c. 4000 BC - 1000 BC).
Description: The borer is sub triangular in shape and formed from a tertiary flake. There is extensive short scaled l semi-abrupt to abrupt retouch along the mesal (sides), which comes in from both the ventral and dorsal facings to create a very slightly curved point. The flaking and retouch has created a blunt edge on the internal edge. The outside edge is very blunt as well although not as much as the internal edge as is short scaled semi-abrupt suggesting the object had either a duel use as both scraper. The striking platform is very irregular and has been extensively and heavily struck. The bulb of percussion and the conchoidal fractures are very pronounced which suggests hard hammer striking.
The borer is a light grey colour, with some iron staining across its surface.
