A lead alloy spindle whorl of conical shape. It is decorated with lines and pellets on the raised side. The internal diameter of the perforation is 10mm. The object has a rough grey patina on one side with flecks of brown.

Spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the medieval period c.1100-1500.
