Medieval gilt copper alloy spur buckle, oval frame, integral plate pierced by a drilled perforation with D-sectioned copper alloy pin, rivet-hole in narrowed concave-sided plate before mid-point which is decorated on the face with an incuse quatrefoil with central pellet, rivet-hole with copper alloy rivet with rectangular copper alloy rove, within pairs of radiating lines in the expanded terminal. Length 36mm. Width of frame 14.5mm, of plate 7.5mm. Cf. Whitehead 2003, nos.195-6. 13th - 14th century.
