Post medieval silver penny of Charles I, dating to AD 1632 to 1640. Probably Group D, initial mark two pellets. Minted at London. North (1991:163) no.2271.

The coin is pierced with a round hole drilled through, probably from the reverse, leaving a raised edge on both sides. The hole is near the edge and at 7 o'clock on the obverse and 2 o'clock on the reverse.
