A copper alloy strap fitting or belt mount dating to the Post-Medieval period, (AD1500-1700). The object is symmetrical and is sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object has an rounded centre which narrows then flares out into the oval terminals. The edges of the face are bevelled. On the reverse are two integral spiked lugs for attachment. The belt mount has a dark green patina, and measures 22.2mm in length, 9.1mm in width, 2.5mm in thickness, and 3.88 g in weight.
