Incomplete medieval sheet copper alloy strap end, broad end with rivet with square rove securing a bar-mount of arched cross-section, baluster shaped body broken across a rIvet hole at narrowed end. This an example of a type normally described as "shield-shaped" (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 156-8). Extant length 15.5mm. Width 15mm. Bar-mount 7.5 x 14.5mm. c.1350 - c.1400.
