Medieval gilt buckle with integral plate, rather worn. Oval frame with straight and widened outside edge decorated with an oblique knop at to both ends. Corroded fragment of iron pin. Plate tapering from a transverse rib at frame to a further transverse rib before a lobed terminal. Concave headed copper alloy rivet near pin hole adjacent to hole. For use with a spur. Width of frame 15.5mm. Length 43.5mm. 13th - 14th century.
