Silver cut half of a voided long cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272), Long cross coinage (1247-1272) with part of one quarter broken off. The moneyer is Nicole and the mint is London and the Class II, III or IV, as the king's name begins at 12 o'clock, and in Class V the name begins at 10 o'clock. The shape of the curls and the way that the N and R are ligatured and the R has a pellet foot, suggests it is Class IVa or IVab which dates to c.1250 (Wren, 1993, 54-55).
