A complete coper alloy Coin Weight of Post-Medieval date (AD 1500-1700). The object is a low countries coin weight, square & bi-faced. The obverse depicts a figure on horseback riding left holding sword, Gelderse rider. The reverse depicts hand between the initials C & I, minted Antwerp. Weight 40 grains.
The metal is a dark greenish brown in colour with a pitted and corroded patina.
Length: 15.93mm. Width: 15.26mm, Thickness: 1.85mm, Weight: 2.8g.
