A heavily worn and modified Medieval copper-alloy English jetton. 'Standing king under canopy' type (as inspired by the French 'king under canopy' issue) likely dating to the reign of Edward III (r. 1327-1357) Mernick number 5a.17. The jetton has been pierced and possibly modified with addition of a catchplate or hook on the reverse, indicated by a long scar/mark across the flan and piercining on the reverse.
Measurements: 22.8mm in diameter, 1.23mm thick and 2.62g in weight.
