A complete silver clipped penny of Late Medieval date (AD 1420 - 1480) probably of Edward IV or Henry VII. Mint of Durham. The coin is heavily worn and the legends have been removed by clipping. There is a "D" in the centre of the reverse.

Obverse description: Front facing bust with visible hair on the left side, the length of which almost reaches the collar.

Reverse description: Long cross with three pellets in each quarter. There is a D in the centre of the cross.There is possibly another feature in one of the quarters but the coin is so worn it is difficult to identify.
