A post medieval cloth seal, possibly a Dutch Colchester seal dating to the period AD c.1571- c.1799 due to its large diameter (Egan 1992, 3). The cloth seal is roughly circular, and consists of two discs rivetted together. An impression of the rivet is visible on the opposite side to it, but otherwise the seal is too worn to see any markings on either side of the object. Diameter 32mm; Thickness 3.4mm; Weight 18.18g.
