The object has a triangular plate in the top half, this plate has an openwork pattern consisting of two roundel surmounting a diamond. At the top of this plate is a projecting roundel that in centrally pierced for attachment and still retains part of the iron rivet. Opposite the base of the triangle extends to form a shaft that has a corroded flanged bar halfway down, in the centre of this bar is a second piercing, again retaining part of the original iron rivet. The terminal of the shaft has been bent back on itself to form a rearwards facing hook that still holds a small copper alloy loop.
