Description: An incomplete silver hammered penny struck for Eadmund, King of East Anglia, dating c. 855-870 AD. Moneyer: Eadmund. Obverse: letter 'A' within solid inner border. Reverse: cross pattee with pellet in each angle within inner solid border. North vol. I, no. 456.

This coin is a continuation of a previous hoard of silver Eadmund pennies recorded through the Treasure Act as 2004 T115 (SF-077A54, SF-076841, SF-D99E44), 2008 T138 (SF-E1C3B5), 2010 T720 ( SF-AAFFB2, SF-C21281) and 2011 T632 (SF-D872A7).

Discussion: The object is directly associated with a known hoard of coins previously recovered from the site, these being more than two in quantity and of more than 10% precious metal. Consequently, it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content as an addenda to the previously recorded group.
