Two flint cores, one incomplete, of probable Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, c. 3000-800 BC. DEV-667E4A and DEV-66439A are part of the same scatter.

1. A secondary core of a glassy black flint with little to no visible inclusions. A large amount of cortex remains on one face, c. 30% of the overall surface. The core has a single striking platform from which a number of irregularly sized but broadly sub-parallel flakes have been struck. The core has then been rotated to 7 o'clock and a removal scar used as the platform for a subsequent removal. The core has a broadly sub-rectangular cross section and is (very) broadly pentagonal in plan. It measures 36.0mm long by 27.8mm wide and 23.7mm thick; it weighs 26.25g.

2. A secondary core fragment, potentially a core reguvination flake, of a mottled blue-grey flint with c. <25% of its surface covered in pebble-like cortex. A number of small, irregular removals survive on the core, struck from multiple directions but with no identifiable striking platform with the exception of a small bladelet-like removal struck from the ventral face of the over all removal. No other removals resemble blades and it is likely only by chance that it is of this shape. It measures 35.3mm long by 26.4mm wide and 13.5mm thick; it weighs 14.71g.
