A Late Neolithic to Bronze Age flint side scraper, probably dating to c. AD 3000-800. Made of a tertiary flake of translucent brown flint, sub-rectangualr in plan and sub-trapezoidal in cross section, with both the proximal and distal ends worked away. The proximal end has been blunted with some fairly irregular removals, struck from the ventral face. The left mesal edge and distal edge of the dorsal face have been blunted using short, abrupt, sub-parallel/scalar retouch, with the retouch to the right mesal edge being semi-abrupt and scalar/stepped, although this edge has been more hihgly abraded than the others. Two main removal scars are visible on the dorsal face, one struck at 45 degrees to the other and the overall flake removal.

Dimensions: length 30.4mm; width 26.0mm; thickness 8.5mm; weight 8.46g.
