A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy circular button. (AD.1500-1600)
It has a globular hollow head. It is has open work decoration in the form of six triangular perforations on the front and back face. In the centre of the front face is a raised circular boss. In the centre of the back face is an integral small perforated lug.
This button measures 11.1mm in diameter, 18mm in total length (including lug), and weighs 1.84 grams.
There is a similar example from Norwich (Margeson, 1993, p. 21, no. 102) and recorded on the PAS database SF-9A523D and SF9200.
