An almost complete lead alloy, likely dating from the Medieval Period. The object is sub-circular in plan and is conical. The object has a central perforation and is undecorated. It is worn on each face and pitted.
Spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the medieval period c.1100-1500.
